NIGHTMARE!!!! We have 8 yrs here.....read to save yourself some real irritation

We are so glad to see that people are finally speaking up about the terrible management company of Archstone & it's property of Canyon Creek!!!! Be sure to read the last few negative posted comments (non employee written). These are true & accurate statements. We've lived here for 8 years & should know.
The women in the office are THE RUDDEST, most irritating people to deal with. It's amazing that Suzanne Bachler the Sr. Property Manager doesn't throw Linda & Sybill out on there proverbial "hiney's". They are so out of line. They tell people that they "don't have time to deal with them" & go on to help others that walk in the door after, if there is a commission involved.
We would like to mention, as a review before ours mentioned, that although it is against the property rules (see tenant/community directory) to allow soliciting they allow it constantly. We realize that it is impossible to stop all of it but there are things that can be done. Since we started looking for a NEW place to live, we have noticed that every property has posted (very clearly) at the entrances "NO SOLICITING" signs. Archstone Canyon Creek has only 2 "very wordy", badly placed signs that can't be seen easily at night. There needs to be signs that simply say "NO SOLICITING". The other part of this equation is that the property has made a deal with the local pizza delivery company & allows them to do soliciting/flyers on your door each & every week in exchange for free pizza for the leasing/management staff/including the operations-district manager. Yep, that's right, they are filling their gullets (sp') in place of your personal safety!!!!! A real upstanding thing to do. They don't seem to get it that when flyers are left on the doors of apartments ....
it's a dead giveaway that no ones' been home!!!!! This is self preservation 101 people!!! I for one am trying to protect my wife & kids & when they allow these people to run up & down the dark hallways/stairways I have to think that they've really lost any sense of doing what's right. They do have the "power" to do something right - even though they may be unable to help a given situation 100%.
This property has had problems for year as demonstrated by all the different property managers & leasing agents that have passed through this property. A really nice note is that although they DEMAND to have all rent in by 5:00pm on the 3rd of the month.......our huge friends at Archstone don't care enough to pay their own bills on time. The apartment industry has knowledge that Archstone goes 120 days of carrying bills on their books before they pay their own vendors. Last year we spoke with the old landscape company personnel (they were much better than the toothless wonders we have now) & the poor employees had to take a PAY CUT because Archstone wasn't paying their boss. How sick is that''' Shortly after.....they cut the good landscapers out of the equation. Now they cut down trees all over the property like it's wheat being harvested. The lush tree landscaping that was once in front of most of the buildings is now gone because they don't want to pay the leaf blowers.
We would like to let anyone moving in or considering this property to be prepared for the "Gestapo" (sp') to be harassing you about your patio & what you have on it. Between January 2004 & April 2004, we received NO less than 4 notices saying that they were coming around to inspect patios again. This happened 4 times in 3 1/2 months - we call this a bit excessive & frankly feel they have a lot of nerve. As long as you are reasonable about the patio & don't park your motorcycle on it......THEY SHOULD MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS & quit being CONTROL FREAKS. These managers get awards for their property & this is just one of their control tactics.
By the way, don't you think it's wrong when you have an employee who doesn't even live on the property taking up 2 whole garages''' Shouldn't they be reserved for residents since they are in such limited supply'''' Linda, the really rude one, is hogging 2 of the very valuable garages for her dumpster diving items & possibly some of the storage units when there is usually a waiting list for garages & storage units.
