Derated for another 20% increase in rent

Archstone has, yet again, hiked up the rent about 20%. I'm sorry, but a 1 bedroom 700 square foot apartment for upwards of about $1200 a month is getting out of hand. When I first moved here less than three years ago, the rent was $740! Needless to say, I have started to look for a new home. The community looks decent when you first arrive, but do your homework because looks are deceiving... know what you are getting yourself into.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the parking lot is terrible. It is not too bad finding parking near my unit, but people just don't know how to drive and park. All the damage done to my car (which has become an interesting collection) has been from negligent people in the community who do not care to leave a note when they crack/break your side mirror or back up into your car.
To those who have already opted to leave... any advice on the moving out process' From what I hear, it's a real pain to deal with the never refunded deposit and bills they mysteriously "tack" on after you leave.
