Prices too steep, parking too bad, record keeping faulty

Hidden costs: Parking (renting either a covered street spot or a enclosed garage), Pet fee $100 per pet & Pet rent $20 per pet(none of which lessens moving out costs for "damages"), Shocking increases in rent (After almost a year they increased rent by hundreds of dollars)
Parking is a complete nightmare since there are no guaranteed spots unless you are willing to shell out cash for either a covered street spot, or an enclosed garage. If you do not rent a spot, you might have to park clear across the grounds if you ever have to find a spot after 6. When getting home late you often have to fight for spots with other tenants hunting around for them.
Maintenance of grounds such as lawn care is fairly regular, but no attempt to fix standing puddles of water around mail kiosks were performed during the two years we were there. When sprinklers outside of apartments were replaced they were left without fixtures covering holes in walls for weeks before another crew put the fixtures up, but never sealed them. All sprinklers on our building were dangling down from sprinklers leaving gaps in the walls.
Staff are nice people, but are either incompetent or directed by morally unsavory people. When we moved out they forgot that we brought in our sets of keys on two separate days and tried to charge us for them. The moving out bill did not take into account--or even acknowledge--our Deposit. Damages fee included items we were told we would not have to take care of when we moved out. We had been told that if we painted walls, we would have to put a primer coat down over those walls, but that we would not have to repaint the walls. Our fee included both priming and repainting wall.

You only got charged $100, I have one cat and they charged me $300 plus $20 a month.
I wish I knew the corporate email address, I would send them a real "nice" letter.

Ha ha ha to 'Ohmyhell' - I'll bring the lighter! My pet deposit was also $300 for one cat but they do mention that on their website, including "pet rent." I understand collecting a pet deposit but not pet rent. That's stupid. But a place like this only cares about money and look for ways to get it out of us suckers. One day I'll be out of here and it will be the happiest day so for those of you considering living here you REALLY REALLY REALLY should reconsider. Take our advice and RUN!
