I wrote a review last year, but accidentally had it under Archstone Northcreek (oops!) which sounds like it's almost as bad as Canyon Creek! After nine years of living at that place, we were forced out due to a $300 a month rent increase!! NEVER had it been so high. We'd had $50 one year, but that was the most until last year. We originally moved into Canyon Creek Appartments under different management. It was nice, the rent was low, the utilities paid for . . . and then Archstone came in. We ended up moving to another unit within the complex which helped for a bit (lower rent and bigger place under a special they were running) but quickly that all fell apart. Between the painting that went on FOREVER and all of our plants being destroyed on our back deck, the pot smoker living below us (he moved in after the husband-beater . . . NICE) and a bunch of other stuff - WE MOVED. We ended up buying a condo and although it's not an ideal situation, we own it!! No rent increases!! After calculating how much we were spending on rent, a storage unit and utilities, having our condo ends up being cheaper!! (even with a pretty high mortgage). So, my recommendation for people wanting to move to Archstone Canyon Creek . . .don't. Or at least be aware that your rent will jump and when you move out, clean it ALL and don't expect anything back in deposit. Ugh.
