Who ever did the construction, the windows in particular, did a shoddy job. I have black mold on ALL of my windows. The heaters in the room are also right below the windows, so again this shows poor decision on the design. This in turn makes the windows all foggy and soaking wet with water buildup and condensation, even when it is not raining. It's horrible! I have to have a sheet by my windows to prevent the water from dripping on the carpets. I hear it going, drip drip drip on the floor, it's that bad. They have the maintenance to come and "clean" the black mold, but their solution is to bleach clean it. That is all. That does nothing long term. I wouldn't be surprised to find out if there is black mold growing IN THE WALLS as well. You will be cleaning them a lot if you choose to live here. The only way to get rid of black mold is to have it professionally cleaned to be free of spores. When you clean off the mold yourself, you release millions of spores in the air, so you are not really supposed to touch it. If you have signs of headaches, nausea, body aches, you might have black mold growing in your apt. This place is not worth the money. The amenitites are not that great, the pool is nasty, and their workout equipment is off balance and doesn't work the way it should but since its not "broken" they don't want to deal with it. I moved out last month.

Mold is a huge issue here. We have dark gray in the corners of our carpet...why? Mold from the previous tenant who didn't crack their windows and leave the fan on after showers.
I agree their workout equipment is ancient. Kids routinely pee in the pool and there are tournaments going on in the basketball area, so it's always grimy.
Take a look at the ficus trees in the workout room, they seriously have 1/3 of an inch of dust on them. They've never been cleaned. Worst apartments EVER. Can't wait till my lease is up.

well, we don't have a window in our bathroom and even when the fan is left on there is still water droplets on the walls and the toilet so that goes to show you that the fan does no good even if you leave it on. The windows in our living room doesn't open up. They only have blinds but if we want to air out the apt. we have to use the sliding door. They came to clean our moldy window cill but surprise! it's back. That didn't last long. Also, when they had a maintenence come in here to clean the mold, he left his dirty towel here on my clean table, and I closed the doors to our rooms (Archstone doesnt have locks on the bedrooms!), not only were my rooms both open but it looked like someone was going through my things. This irritated me so much when they didn't respond to my complaint. I wouldn't be surprised if the office staff not only didn't care but that they would allow it. I had to deny them twice to have a "random" inspection so maybe they did a quick walk through but still, that's not OK.
