Can't imagine being happier anywhere else. This is my third year and no intention of moving. Have come to know some of the other residents and most of the time I wouldn't even know I had neighbors even though all surrounding units are occupied. In general, residents that plan to stay long term seem to be better to their neighbors.
My job required out of town travel and a home office. This means when I'm in town I'm always here and it's a pleasure. I have a dog and we walk the property 4-5 times daily, from about 6 am to midnight. To this day I haven't encountered any suspicious activity. There are small children in the area, teen ager and young adults. They all add to the comfortable atmosphere--it's nice to have young people around and the kids, teen agers and families have a great time letting off steam in the pool during the summer. It seems we all get along well.
Management has change lots, but Michael had done a tremendous job of making sure all is fair. He has a strong, professional crew and it's obvious he truly cares about the community. He does not play favorites and treets everyone equally.
Parking is tight. I have a garage. It's important to remember, though, that most units have a car for each person living there. It's no longer that a couple might have one car or a family have two. If there are two parents and a couple high school students in one apartment, that's four parking spaces plus the one they're going to want to for visiting guests. I've lived in San Francisco, Manhattan and Seattle, all in similar situations where parking was designed for one car per household. Were the apartment community to have enough parking to please everyone, there wouldn't be any room for apartments, only cars! There is excellent public transportation with buses stopping across the street in two places and half a block to the north and south of the driveway. Park and Rides are close and there are express buses to Everett, Bellevue and Seattle.
Finally, I do feel the dog poop situation is out of control. Not sure who it is but the dog friendly atmosphere--while tremendous--might be jeopardized if people don't stop leaving the ---- where their dog squats. It's disgusting. Kids play; people walk. I have a dog and I pick the poop. It's gross and I don't like it but I DO like having my dog here and I don't want to loose that. We're now experiencing the very reason so many communities don't allow dogs and I cannot blame them. I've even seen people walking their dogs and looking around to see if anyone is looking. Some even do the obvious "fake scoop" as though they're fooling anyone. Come on, you've got a good deal here. Pick the poop or move. I'm serious.

This must have been written by a staff member. At how many apartment complexes does an ordinary renter know the names of the ENTIRE staff?

Who knows the entire staff?? Why anyone who takes the time to interact with the staff. I don't know all of the names but I know at least 5 who have been very helpful whenever we have had a problem.

I agree with the dog poop situation recently. I think the management change is letting a few things slide a bit that Tina, Michael and Dylan did not! Otherwise its still a pretty great pleasure to live here :)
