I am a previous resident of Canyon Pointe. Upon move out, I was given a bill totaling over $1400. This was for charges of carpet cleaning, blind cleaning, wall painting, etc. My roommate and I let the apartment in great condition--you could even say better than when we moved in. As I talk with more previous residents, I am learning this is the norm. My roommate and I are taking this to small claims court. If you have a similar experience, please drop me an email. The more voices to represent the injustices occuring at this apartment the better. Thank you.

We are moving out in 5 months. What should we do to prevent those charges?

I just moved out of Canyon Pointe. I spent 3 days cleaning & painting my 1 bedroom apartment and today I received an invoice from Canyon Pointe in the amount of $471.11. On the invoice it is listed as cleaning and painting charges.

I had the same thing happen to me. I had been there for 5 years and moved out August 2005. I hired a cleaning crew for the move out cleaning and they still sent me a bill for over 400.00 for cleaning and painting. I was refused a walk threw as well. The cleaning service is 100% guarenteed and in there contract it explains that at anytime the service isn't clean enough, they will come back to do another full cleaning for free.. I called Lynn several times to get all this straightened out but had NEVER returned my calls. I do not plan on paying this bill. For 1, the did not send me an itemized statement of the charged within a 30 day period from move out, and by law that is there responsibility. and 2, I had it profesionally cleaned and those charges are not correct. We are also experiencing problems since we put in our notice. Check my review "...this place is turd.." Yesterday they "lost" our final rent payment, and are expecting us to pay a $100 fee, on top of the closing fees.

My mother just had a walk thru and she is being charged $110 in cleaning fees. Supposedly the bathroom floor needs to be rewaxed. The lady was totally rude to my family. My mother has ALWAYS been a very clean person and respectable neighbor/tenant. I would like to know if anyone has managed to walk away from this place without paying a, "cleaning fee."
