My roommate and I ignored the comments on this site and decided to try out Canyon Pointe. All I can say is that we should have listened to the warnings...

We had constant mold issues; we were able to clean up the majority of the mold just fine on the window sills and walls. We took great care of our apartment. We cracked windows and followed directions as mentioned by the staff to help with mold issues. It didn't really help and it was practically impossible to even attempt to keep the moisture out. I ended up having to throw away my entire bed (when I moved out, I realized that I had been sleeping on mold for 6 months - mold had grown on the underside of my bedframe), some clothes and other belongings. It is very obvious that the apartment walls were not insulated/sealed properly.

My "favorite" (favorite in a sarcastic tone, of course) was when the people who lived across from us would come home around 2 or 3am (and because I kept my window open), I could hear them puking their guts out from a night of drinking too much alcohol. They would leave their water bottles sitting in the parking lot where they attempted to wash away some of the vomit.

The one time I took my 2 year old to the playground at the apartment complex, there would be garbage and USED TAMPONS surrounding the play area. Not very sanitary and very disgusting.

Finally... the last month we were there, we paid our monthly rent and the staff was very disorganized and claimed they never received a portion of it. We checked our bank accounts and it was shown that our rent checks had INDEED been cashed on the 5th of the month, as usual. We got this same runaround 3 different times by the *SAME* person no less for 3 weeks straight. Now they are claiming that they didn't receive our final payment after moving out, even though it is showing cashed in our bank accounts...' Doesn't make sense.

I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone for a few reasons: 1) the management/staff are idiotic, disorganized and could care less about you and 2) M-O-L-D! x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk
