We are model citizens, I work a decent job and we struggle to pay the 'Mill Creek' rent here of nearly 1100. We are surrounded by section 8,welfare moms and 20 somethings that are 4 to an apartment and actively selling drugs. No joke, not an exaggeration. Since Dallas and that management that was aforementioned left and the 'owner-management' came in we have watched less and less organization and care for the 'community' take place from the management.
This is a huge complex with one dumpster and one play area for kids. Parking was not considered only adding additional buildings. Hence, you have a building of 5 floors, 10 units to a floor with 10 parking places near it. and shared by another building of nearly equal size. Kids are allows to move in w/ 4 cars to an apt. There's no designated parking.
No wonder the poor woman was dragged away and raped.. A unit is usually backed up against a green belt that is very unsafe, no lighting and no 'presence' from the security people that are supposedly contracted to parole. I've never...NEVER seen them. And since the parking lot has kids roaming at all hours you are usually awake at sometime in the night to look out your window at whatever car alarm or screaming person is out there.
There are way too many drug parents w/ kids that are not watched. CPS has been called several times for several individuals. There are 4-5 5yrs and under that are left to play in the play area with no supervison.
There are tons of singles that live here with no regard for safety or respect for others. We have individuals having parties till 3am, drug traffic at all hours and racing thru the parking lot at all times. The person several comments down stated they were being harrassed but seldom do any of the singles follow the rules here and rarely are the rules enforced. It took months last summer for Dallas to get rid of a party apartment that was dealing drugs.
Garages are used to deal out of and one was used to cook over a year ago. There needs to be a massive enforcement of the rules here.
This is a great complex, there are plenty of caring families and individuals that give a damn about the way they treat others and the property. But the few that pee in the elevators, mark their territory and tear up the place make it so hard on those of us who pay taxes, rent and work like most people should.
This is a secion 8 facility and too bad that there are a large group of welfare moms with 2 and 3 kids that run wild while they do their crack pipes, and have guys over..and give folks on dshs benefits a bad name... no joke, no exaggeration.
The pool is use at your own risk, looks great but at any moment will be overtaken by kids that are supposed to have a parent with them and do not.. they will jump on you and take your stuff... and trust me.. won't listen to you.
Let's see.. in the last 30 days a woman fell and was killed why she felt the need to climb up to her apt who knows..
and then the woman that was raped just a few days ago. The limited access building that everyone knows the code to and kids ride the elevators and run thru the halls all day and night.
The words rent at your own risk.. don't even say enough. You might as well pay $500 less and live on Casino road.. it's the same criminal element.
