Inglenook Court Apartments

We don't know who these "different" people are who are raving about this place, but we wonder if some of them are the same people writing in... perhaps prompted by management' Who knows' All we can speak for is our experience. We have lived here 2 years and think this place is the biggest ripoff. We wanted to move after our first year; the only reason we decided to stay was because it's close to Bastyr where I am a student. When we resigned our lease, the management wouldn't let us sign at the current market rate, which was significantly lower than what we had been paying throughout the previous year. We actually found out about their little scam AFTER we resigned our lease, so we posed as new tenants and were quoted the lower rate. When we asked the management why we, paying tenants for a year, weren't allowed to pay the same rate as new tenants, we were told with some derision that that's just the way it was. How obnoxious is THAT'
Noise has been an issue since we moved in. We've had ongoing problems with these crazy (as in possibly mentally-ill/challenged) neighbors. The management has taken a completely passive and disinterested stance all along, even though these neighbors were at one point threatening to sue us and have us evicted for things we weren't even doing! We asked to be moved, and the management wouldn't even help us to do that.
There is very little storage space in these apartments. The bedrooms are tiny. Sometimes other people park in our spot, which is a pain. Something is funky with the water; it tastes funny and clothes washed in it smell badly/weirdly.
We've had a slow and positively apathetic response to our occasional maintenance requests. We had our vehicle broken into earlier this year (luckily, we weren't in it at the time and nothing of any value was taken), and these other people we know here had their apt. broken into when they were only gone for a half an hour! (Somebody must've been casing them...)
Surely we can't be the ONLY people (besides our burglarized friends) to have had serious issues with Inglenook Court! Enough with all these 'rainbow and butterfly' people - that's not AT ALL what our experience has been and prospective tenants need to know the truth! Or at least hear from both sides, if others are, indeed, speaking their truths, too.
For our money, we wish we'd never rented here, and now we're stuck for another expensive year. Our best advice: there are soooo many apt. complexes around here, there's no excuse to live here. It's close to Bastyr... but that's all it has going for it.

I wish I could have been this eloquent in my own review. I totally concur with everything you wrote, especially regarding the management's "passive and disinterested stance" and being met with "derison." Yup, sounds like them. Grr.
