I have lived here for 5 months now. I moved in last September. Since living here, I have never had any problems with the management. All repairs are finished within a day or two. I pay my rent on time every month, I follow the rules (realizing the management doesn't make them up, Essex does), and I am kind and friendly to the staff. I've seen that people have complained about a lot! Coming from someone who is a single mom, I am just grateful that God has provided us a nice place to live! And about all the comments made about the construction going on, was it inconvenient and noisy' Of course! But, now it's done and this place looks so much better than it used to! As far as keeping toys off patios and not hanging curtains: can you imagine if everyone put their stuff on their patios, how cluttered and unkept the place would look' And, you can hang curtains! You can't hang them behing the blinds where people can see them from the outside, but you can enjoy them in your apartment. Maybe everyone doesn't want to see your floral curtains or maybe it would look radiculous to see 100 different patterns and colors or curtains, varying from apartment to apartment. It's not all about you! You live in a community and have to consider others as well. As far as hanging flower pots on patios, I wish I could hang some, but have come up with a good solution and will buy the elevated stands so that I can enjoy my flowers.

Well, since you don't answer any of my questions, in answer to your questions: I don't know what specific results you would like, but I know that if things were resolved you wouldn't be complaining about it anymore, hence the reason I suggested a different approach. Sometimes, you can be totally right on an issue, but your attitude can make it so that you come across to others in a less than desirable way. I can tell that you must not act respectfully to many people since you have talked to me the way you have. A disrespectful attitude will only get you disrespect in return. I don't consider myself to be a therapist, just a grown adult who tries my best to take a mature approach to conflict.
