Abysmal Experience

The recent renovations brought great improvement to the complex - it is now pretty attractive from the outside. We did not have problems with them during our year there, until it was time to renew our lease. We were planning on staying another year, until they shamelessly increased our rent to an unreasonable price compared to what we were paying. They were unwilling to work with us and preferred that we move out. This is where all the fun began, as they attempted to take as much money from us as they could. They charged us for the entire last month, even though we did not stay the entire time; forced us to move out early at the last minute instead of on the agreed upon date; refused to return our entire deposit by charging us for things that were not stated on the lease. We eventually did get our entire deposit back after threatening to contact corporate. Both Jennifer and Kori at the office are inept and out for your money. If you move in to Inglenook, be prepared to be taken advantage of or otherwise be prepared for a battle due to their incompetency!

I agree, they are out for every penny they can get. They are now charging extra for covered parking and other items that no other apt complex charges for. I think they may be trying to get everyone out so they can sell these apts as condos. What do you think? I also agree with the ineptness of the staff but they are not to blame when it comes to charging tenants - that is the greedy landlord.

It does seem like they want everyone out 'cause they surely do not give their tenants an incentive to stay! Regarding your last sentence, the landlords may be greedy, but from my experience it was management who tried to unjustifiably keep my deposit. After having a long argument with Kori and telling her that I was not going to budge, she agreed to return my entire deposit, without having to get approval from corporate/landlord.
