DO NOT MOVE HERE, the management is horrible and useless.
The guy that moved us in here QUIT (that says alot about how they take care of their people/tenants)
They do "yearly" inspections and will come into your home to "inspect".
They scheduled a yearly "inspection", we all scheduled days off of work, and they canceled!
They're too cheap to upgrade their internet lines, so their "high-speed" is only 1.5K (NO COMCAST 8mbps)
Their floors crack like a house built in the 40's.
BIGGEST speed bumps EVER (not joking).
Construction (flaggers) right outside the ONLY exit/entrance causing HUGE delays
They'll lose your rent check then proceed to call you and chew you out (then find your check later and NOT apologize)
Their playground is laughable
Their "gym" consists of a treadmill and an old strairmaster in a small room
Parking is HORRIBLE at night.
12-month agreements only
They MAKE you get 50K liability renters insurance!!!! (unheard of - too cheap to afford it themselves')
They'll more likely than not make you replace carpets and paint all walls when you leave (negating your sec deposit)
Really overpriced for what you get
PLEASE TAKE MY WORD FOR IT! KEEP LOOKING ELSEWHERE.

I think Comcast is being offered as an alternative real soon. I was told the apartments had T1 connections, and thats true, actually two T1 lines at a central server, however each apartment has a DSL line to these two T1 lines and they are capped for the very important reason of stability.
DSL IS still considered high speed capped at 1.5 MB downstream which still produces relatively low latency which is what makes it 'high speed' by the definition of almost everyone. However the bandwidth is lower than competitors and for people who like to download large items for whatever reason, it can take longer. Seriously tho, if you need more than 150k downstream yer downloading some huge files.
As for the construction, the Laurels have no control over city planned construction projects. Its as much an inconvenience for the cars stretched up the hill to WalMart on 164th during rush hour as it is for the people who live at The Laurels.
