Tenament Living at Executive Prices

I have waited over half a year to write this so I could be as objective as possible about my experience at Providence. In the meantime, I have read reviews written by people who are unable to write (or spell) effectively, my point being that although the staff presented the property as a white-collar community, it seemed to be inhabited by anyone who could provide the first month's rent and deposit, even if they could not afford to continue their tenancies. Shortly after beginning my tenancy (and the departure of the first of four managers during my 22-month stay), I became the upstairs neighbor to a group of several immigrant workers (of which only one was listed on the lease, according to the new manager) and was subjected to noise from three sound systems being used until late at night. After several complaints, including some involving the security agency, the management informed me their lease would not be renewed; however, the noise became even worse during the last month of their residency. After further complaints, one of the staff stated that I should look on the bright side since I would have to put up with it for only three more weeks. When I told her that was unacceptable, the manager contacted me and stated that the situation needed to be handled 'delicately'. During that time, three families moved in the building across from mine and their children used the parking lot as a playground, often dodging moving vehicles, bouncing balls off of parked cars and buildings and marking the pavement with colored chalk; their parents sometimes joined them. The maintenace staff routinely scrubbed down the sidewalks and removed toys and debris from the top of the car ports. I realized that more complaints were pointless and it was time to move on. The only superior aspect about living at Providence was the maintenance staff, who provided prompt and effective response when needed.
