The saga continues with Stone Meadow Farms. After months of fighting with them they ripped me off for $600 pet deposit, $500 security deposit and an ADDITIONAL $120 that they sent to collection agency Rent Collect Global. ---------------- wrote me a letter stating that "touch up paint" is a standard fee charge everyone is charged that moves out. Normal wear and tear does not cover dirt! Well ok then..what does normal wear and tear cover if not dirt' I ended up paying the $120 to keep it off my credit. The pet deposit ------ states is a "fee" and is not refundable even thou the lease doesn't state anything about pet deposit or fee. I had a stain on the carpet from a plant due to the apt being so damp and they replaced 3 rooms of carpet for one small stain and then as ------ said charged me only 53% of the total bill which was $937.76. Why would you replace 3 rooms of carpet for one small stain' When I requested a copy of the bill for the carpet it was not sent in her response letter.
For those of you that state you are happy and like living there...you haven't moved out yet and been taken advantage of so just wait. Your turn will come! If anyone has issues with the complex ------'s # is 425-806-2900. Not that you will get far, but atleast you have a contact to start with.
Don't worry about taking your shoes off or wiping your pets feet to keep the carpet clean as I did for you will still be charged fees that are made up so that they can collect more money from you.
Unethical place' You betcha!

Contest as much as possible. They were charged us for a repaint when we did it ourselves. We were able to get that money back. Ask them for proof of the stains. They should have saved the carpet where the stains were just incase you were dispute them. If they don't then you could take them to court and possibly win. They ripped us off, I know how it feels. Hope you can find something better.

I just asked about the pet policy the other day becuase I am considering getting a puppy. Their policy is a $300 NONREFUNDABLE deposit (to repair and clean after you've moved) and a $200 [possibly] REFUNDABLE deposit. You'll only get this back if your animal wasn't out of control...crapping everywhere and chewing everything.
I have had some issues with billing and my ledger, but we've successfully found all the errors (both MINE and THEIRS) and everything's cool.
