It's not a bad place to live but they are underhanded and try to get whatever they can out of you. Not only did try to take my $500 security deposit, they tried to charge me another $300 for a clean apt! They said I had to pay for the carpet after I lived there for 2 years, that's normal wear and tear folks. Well, I wrote them a letter, they said no. I went to BBB to negotiate. They wouldn't negotiate and they were quite nasty. I took them to small claims and won! Take it all the way and don't let them get away with it! Most renters will just pay the money because they don't want the hassle, that's what they are counting on! It was not big deal to go to small claims and now they have to refund my money per the judge. They have to pay for the certified letters and the court fee as well. Vindicated! Take that nasty condisending apt manager.

Excellent job! you are the brave one!! The management is terrible and nasty. They take advantage of renters who are not informed about their rights. Everyone should stand up for the renters who are being taken advantage of.
