This place sucks, there is no other way to put it. If you are considering moving here, stop, turn around, and run.

My blood pressure has risen 15 points since I moved to Surry Park. At first when my wife and I were looking we liked the fact that it was a small complex. The manager, lets say her name is "Fay", was very pleasant and helpful. We signed the lease and moved right in. Then it all went downhill from there. We quickly realized that Fay had some real personal issues with us, maybe it was our age, the fact that I am probably 1/3rd her age and make at least twice what she does makes her angry. I do not know. She is never in the office when we need her, mostly because she is off smoking her 3rd pack for lunch.

If we need something fixed that is not major they take their good sweet time getting there. The only time that they showed any type of concern is when the water heater went out and there was a risk of damage to the apartment. Renter be warned, hold on to your pocket book, they will take you for every red cent that they can get their hands on. When our lease was up for renewal our rent went up $140!

The management company has no idea what the term "customer service" is. When we complained to Fay's boss she started yelling and cutting me off on the phone.

Needless to say as soon as our lease is up we are out of that little slice of hell.
