Great unless it snows ( UPDATED - SEE ADDITIONS )

We moved in to our apartment in 2008 and the management was the best.
They treated us great and went beyond what others would have done to help us in.
The mail boxes, recycling bins, and dumpsters are located at a single central location.
This makes it inconvenient for some that live in the upper apartments.
The neighbors are quiet on the most part but like any other apartment building you live in there will be that one person that always slams their door.
The same person plays their music loud but will turn it down at reasonable hour.
Overall, it is not bad.
My biggest complaint is that this new management team does not take care of the property when it snows.
Good thing it doesn't snow much in Seattle.
But if you rely on your car and must get out you should consider other locations with better snow removal practices.

I need to update this response.
After talking to friends and family that live throughout the area I realize that my comments regarding the snow should not have been mentioned.
18" of snow in the Seattle area within the short time is more than anyone could have prepared for.
Snow like this may happen every 20 years.
I looked at other complexes, store parking lots, side steets, and various other places and they were faced with the same challenge of snow removal.
So, with that being said, I would recommend living here to my family, friends, and anyone looking for an apartment.

Nomad, I understand you wanting to be fair about the snow clearing at Willina, however, I think that your original assessment was the most accurate. I lived there from April 04 to the end of May 07. We went through three management generations (Jen and Crystal, Abby then Dominique). Our maintenance mostly stayed the same. We can not say enough about how wonderful Johnny and Bruce are. They are a couple of the most responsive and friendly maintenance staff that we have ever encountered.
In regard to parking lot maintenance in inclement weather, however, (and this is no reflection on John or Bruce) there is alot to be desired. We weathered a couple of storms while living there including the snow following the power outages and such. If you look at the parking lot in and out (from 160th and onto 112th) it is basically a fishbowl caught in a shadow. Once it freezes over, forget having control in or out even in 4-wheel drive. In those conditions, I did a four-wheel drive sideways slide into the driveway more often than not, and I couldn't even tell you how many times they closed the entrance off of 160th because of parked cars getting damaged by people losing control or not being able to stop entering the complex.
My advice in this case would be to use caution and good judgement. Hopefully your parking spot is not in line with one of the entrances.

Yep, original assessment is most accurate. NO ATTEMPT at all was made to remove the snow during the 2008 snows - while they couldn't have kept up with the snow, they didn't even try.
