The fact is the help is ok and the professional courtesy is fine. It?s a nice quiet area and the neighbors are friendly.

The problem is the condition of the complex.

First, throughout the complex is a raging case of carpenter ants. They lay dormant in the winter. Once Spring has sprung, though, the ants come out in force. They rage around and terrorize pets and generally dig wonderful mazes throughout the walls. They plant their nest sometimes 50 to 100 feet from the apartment and survive within the walls. How long this will continue, nobody knows. It?s been two years to date without change.

Second, the bottom level of the apartment complex suffers from sever moisture damage. Black mildew spreads to bathtubs, corners and within the walls and floors. This requires major rework. In time, entire walls and some supports have to be replaced when damage of this kind is left to do its work. Not to put to fine a point on it, but I believe that rework may be due throughout the complex. I know the moisture damage I?ve seen needs to be repaired. Paint in walls bubble and calking work in the bathrooms cannot do anything to stop water intrusion anymore. One day the upstairs neighbor?s bed will be in my room?.through the ceiling.

Third, talk about moisture damage. You can smell the mildew throughout the apartment. Yuck.

Fourth, the complex always seems to be broke. From the time damage occurs to the time it?s repaired is astounding. Basic electrical and kitchen appliances are fixed or replaced in a timely manner?but forget ANYTHING else.

I think, and I may be wrong, that they are planning on doing reconstruction. It?s been an ongoing plan for over two years?from what I understand. However, I have yet to see anything improve in the construction in all this time. It?s been a couple of years.

If the management would find the means and make the commitment to reconstruction?.this place would be very nice. Otherwise, if it?s not already, it will become a legal issue when someone comes falling through a ceiling.
