My husband and I have lived here for about a year and a half, and we are leaving in a month. I could gab all day about what we disliked about this place, but I will just stick to the truly bad experiences. Take it for what you will.

Safety...Though I never feared for my life directly, this is NOT a safe place for anyone. In just a year and a half, we have had several major altercations. A woman confronted our neighbor once, and a fight ensued in the stairway. She was pushed up against our door, which preceded to FLY OPEN! Also, the cops were here recently to attend to a beating in our parking lot. The man was beat up so badly, he was passed out in the middle of the driveway. There are no deadbolt locks, just one small lock on the door. The hallway lighting works occaisionally.

Noise...IT IS HIDEOUS. I'm working on earning my teacher certificate, and I can't think half the time. I had to ask my husband to bring home a set of earplugs. Children run up and down our stairs most days, screaming, without parental supervision. We can hear everything people in our complex do. And a local elementary school is literally in our back yard, and I can hear all the announcements and times for recess.

Maintenance...This is a pain and a safety hazard. Our tub was so old, and poorly installed, that water was leaking underneath it almost the entire time. One day, after the water had be collecting (unbenownst to us), my average-build Navy husband had his foot go through the tub. It took over a WEEK to get it replaced. Meanwhile, we were told to continue showering in the tub, and were asked to "try not to get water in the hole." We have since learned that our downstair's neighbor's ceiling is ruined.

These are just a few of the problems that await you at Village Fair. It's possible others haven't had the troubles we've had. But I wouldn't bet the farm, that's for sure.
