Lora Lake Apartments

Location is everything, I guess.. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/11/2004 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   If this complex weren't so convenient to shopping and highways I don't know what I'd be paying so much for. I know of others in the area that pay less for as much (or more) space. It IS only steps from 509 & I-5 w/the on-ramp to 518 at the front door..very convenient. The bad news is that this spot is earmarked to be torn down and used as a third runway for the airport in a few yrs. so you can imagine the noise. My bedroom shook when planes took off at times. Also, certain neighbors have no consideration and play music at all times of the night into the wee hrs. (usually 3-5am). No amount of calling the cops seems to deter them either. The music is the good news. That's when they're not beating the tar out of eachother and carrying it into the street. The presence of the police is a usual sight. Very ghetto. Besides the paper thin walls, the doors are made of cardboard. I had to replace several doors because the slightest accident will break right through them. Good thing we're not relying on them for security. Speaking of which, I don't believe I've ever seen any security onsite. I don't think it exists. Heaven forbid you ever have an emergency where you need management after hours because they have made it VERY clear that they have 'lives' and cannot cater to everyone who needs anything at anytime. So whatever you do, don't get locked out of your house because it is very clearly YOUR PROBLEM and you're liable to sleep in your car if you have no where else to go until morning. The only benefits are the indoor & outdoor pool & hot tub (which is never hot enough) but adequate.
