Upon moving in there, I was willing to deal with the 20 minute hike to campus. Since my arrival, I had been REPEATIVELY lied to by the staff, after being charged over $500 a month for rent. I asked politely numerous times to have my leaking faucet in the bathroom fixed, was ignored. Was a single girl living by herself and broke my lease after I was harassed and lied to about the terms of my lease. The next leasee moved in 2 months later, but they were trying to charge me for the rest of the year, not what was told to me! Disputed the charge and got my rent reduced. I have never broken a lease in my life, but had to after the heater went out in my apartment. You cannot be in Cheney in 20 degree weather without heating......... the staff ignores you and treats women with disrepect in particular....... we are more than just a bunch of "dumb college kids", I got the debt dropped........do not let these people scare you into staying, nobody should have to deal with a bully for a landlord!

I noticed the way the owners treated women so poorly, too. You didn't have to be a college student for them to treat you that way. Glad you stood your ground with them. They seem to think they were better than us "mere tenants." They don't seem to realize they make their money from us, and treat us with respect.
