Here's my experience. In 2004 I moved here, in 2005 I moved out. The first management company provided an office manager (Carol) who was helpful, courteous and jumped to fix maintenance problems right away. I never had a problem with her. Then, shortly before I moved out in spring of 2005, the owners of Creekside decided to go with another management company. This was the worst mistake they could have made.
As one example, in August of 2005 management decided to repave all of the parking lots, and gave tenants 24 hours notice. The project was delayed, and people moved their cars to another lot per the notice, but then their lot would be paved days later without notice. In total, at least 25 cars were towed to a nearby auto wrecking company. Some people were out of town while all of this happened, and didn't know they needed to move their car. The tow fees were in excess of $200. I was one of these people who got towed, the same day I was moving out of the building. I took the manager to court, and she won. The judge agreed it was in poor form for the manager to only provide 24 hours notice for such a major project, but since she had a piece of paper proving she provided notice, she was within her rights to do so.
Later, after I moved out, the manager kept $50 of my security deposit for 'smoke damage' in the bathroom. The bathroom walls were covered with mold due to poor ventilation, which has an obvious characteristic opposite that of smoke damage, which also has an associated smell. I let management keep my money and I didn't fight it, because by then I had already moved out and taken her to court. Where would it end'
In 2004 I would have highly recommended Creekside. And if management changes hands again, maybe I would reconsider my opinion of the place. I loved my apartment and the manager, but the owners made a bad decision, and the residents had to pay the price.
