Garden Villa is the WORST apartment on the planet... They are HORRIBLE I Moved in October of last year (2006) and signed a six-month lease that ends at the end of June 2007. Does that sound like 6 months to you' Of course not because it s 8. When I moved in the apartment was dirty the carpet was worn down and CRUSTY. The management told me when I did the walk through that the previous owner had a small dog but from the smell of the apartment it was more like a wolf. Let me break down exactly what s wrong in each section of the hellhole.
KITCHEN- the refrigerator is on the coldest level possible yet, it s barely cold. The cabinets and drawers have paint chipping off of them and don t stay closed. The floor has little pieces of linoleum chipped out of it. The kitchen faucet leaks and loose almost falling off of the sink. The sink leaks into the cabinet below. Only 2 burners actually work on the stove and the fan sounds like some one is crashing a semi-truck through your house.
BEDROOMS- DISGUSTING carpet is worn. The walls look like a blind person painted them. The outlets are ALL up side down throughout the unit and most don t work anyways. There are no lights in the rooms.
BATHROOM- the toilets leak. There is black mold all over the walls behind the toilet and right next to the shower surround. There are no sliders on the medicine cabinet. The doors must be on the wrong way because it takes a small army to get one to close.
EVERYTHING ELSE- the windows are paper thin you can hear EVERYTHING that is going on outside like the complex is not located 3 miles form the airport. (Imagine trying to sleep through that). The heat does not work in any of the rooms. The doors and windows are not sealed at all of you stand next to one it feels like you are in a blizzard. The pipes are OLD and need to be replaced IMMEDIATELY! When anyone in the building is taking a shower the pipes bang so hard that it sounds like a wrecking ball coming in. the balconies are made out of plywood so if you weigh more than 60lbs I suggest you don t step outside.
THE OUTSIDE- parking is a nightmare My car was towed by management out of my own spot because the neighbor wanted her friend that was staying with her to have a close spot because she has children after I paid almost 300.00 to get my car out of impound the neighbors guest remained in my spot for 4 days and management said that they didn t have proper authorization to tow, although I pay the rent. It s full of immigrants every day looks like Cinco de Mayo. There are lots of abandoned vehicles EVERYWHERE. They advertise that they have a laundry facility on site but what they really mean is that there is 1 washer and 1 dryer for the ENTIRE complex. There is also 1 dumpster and it is ALWAYS full. There are HUGE stray dogs that roam the neighborhood without leashes that belong to tenants and no one says anything about it at all. If you would like to remain sane and keep your dignity DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I agree with you 100%, it's almost like the management is trying to screw you. I am looking for a first apartment, and I lost count of how many different ways they tried to screw me. It is like they just take advantage of immigrants who don't know better. DO NOT RENT!

I totally agree this place is a DUMP!!! My car was actually stolen from my parking spot. Don't let it by a Friday or Saturday night at 3am because you hear the people holding a block party in the parking lot with cars revving and all the bass. THIS PLACW SUCKS, do not rent here.
