Holly Creek can be a pretty decent place to live for a short time. Parking is easy (although this is a high-theft area), lots of big windows, and decks for each apartment. Maintenance responds to your requests rather quickly. However, there are some bad things. The heating bills in the winter are astronomical due to drafty windows, doors, and poor insulation. Also the apartments get very hot during the summer because of all the windows. I guess the biggest thing here is noise from Seatac airport. Low flying planes fly overhead about every 45 seconds to 1 minute day and night. Recent laws have required double-paned windows in this area, but a grandfather clause excludes Holly Creek from this restriction, so it's very loud. As for other noise, it all depends on your neighbor. Typically there isn't much partying, but if you get next to a noisy person (as i did), don't expect the management to do anything about it. There is also no manager on-site, so that can create some problems if you have issues. The rent isn't bad, but watch out for the lease terms...read it carefully before you sign. The apartments are around 300 square feet max, not 400 as the advertisements say. If you have a lot of furniture, measure the stairwells first, they are VERY small. Many people can't even fit a normal-sized couch up the stairs to their apartment. There is virtually no closet space and no kitchen space. These factors combined with the noise is probably what keeps most people (myself included) from staying here much more than 6 months or a year. But as a short-term place to stay, Holly Creek isn't a bad deal. Just look out for the low-flying aircraft :)
