Let me tell you. Who ever said there is no aircraft noise. I am sure they don't live there! There are two aircraft runways there and they are now building a third runway. The MAJESTIC BAY TOWNHOMES is located in a ZONE 2 aircraft noise level and the apartments are built in the STONE AGES. THAT Means that the airplanes are close to the ground (less than 500 feet) and the building can't stand this heavy aircraft noise. The windows are NOT DOUBLE PAINED and you WILL here noise. OFF COURSE the management should be required to notify the NEW TENANT that airplanes land right on the roof but they WON'T. Airplanes FLY starting at 5AM (opening of airport) to about 11PM (closing of airport). But don't forget cargo planes are allowed to fly outside of these hours! AS for PRIVACY, you should just set your dinner or lunch table for them because they come in and out of your apartment constantly. SAFETY, 14 CARS got broken into and when people tried to make a claim against the MANAGEMENT they went into hiding. Luckily a car that was stolen had GPS tracking device and some people got their property back.

isn't thee city of des moines in the direct flight path of seatac airport? and with that in mind...what would you have expected? so what.... a pipe broke that can happen anywhere, did they take care of it? As I am looking for a place that the management takes care of issues. where I am leaving they don't leave notes but they also don't take care of things. I may consider this place IF what you are saying is the management communicates and cares.

As a resident for almost 1 year, I can say I'm very happy living here. If I have a complaint, it's taken care of. I've lived in other apartments, and trust me, it's nice to know that management is on top of things. So they leave notes on your door? At least they're giving you advance notice of needing to enter your apartment for regular inspections. Just got the chimney repaired. Didn't even know it needed it, but, hey! good to know, right? I used to live in Auburn area, and the planes flew right over my place, don't hardly notice the difference. And, you really don't hear the neighbors! My biggest complaint at my previous apartment was you could here them walking up and down the stairs, I don't hear a thing, no stereos turned up loud, or kids screaming. I plan on staying. Even if the rent is raised a bit, still the best bang for my buck compared to what's out there in S King County area.

I've lived here since 2005. Not ONCE has management ever entered my apartment w/o my permission. Why would they want to keep entering yours? Do you have better stuff then me? LOL You can't tell me that you didn't notice that the airport was just up the road or that you never heard an airplane when you were looking to rent there. The airport noise is like anything else, you get used to it and don't even notice it after a while. The only time it bothers me is if I am outside on my patio trying to talk on my cell. You've been complaining about the place for nine months - must've signed a year lease, huh?

I have been here for months, and I have yet to get used to the noise. You hear planes all day. I don't know how people can live like this! The windows and sliding glass doors need updating like now. I don't understand why they haven't done this already. I like everything else about the apartment. It's spacious, I can't hear my neighbors, I have two balconies, there is an elevator, underground parking, and secured entry. My only peeve is with the cheap windows. This will keep me from renewing my lease.
