If you like no security and a nightmare rent an apartment here

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2008
I hear from residents of the Marina Club Apartments things like I have lived here a short time and my antena has been broken off my car, my car has been broken into, parties in the parking lot and you cannot park. Speaking of the parking lot how about no handicap parking supplied after requesting such for two years straight. Also the parking spots are so narrow that you cannot get out of your car unless you hit the car next to you with your door and set their car alarm off. Management's solution rent a covered spot for $35.00 a month. You car is still broken into if you rent a covered spot. Residents allow all their friends to park in noncovered spots and then the residents have no where to park.
Rent started reasonable until you sign for the next years lease. A minimum of $100 rent increase if you sign a new lease and $200 if you do not. I do not get a cost of living increase at work as high as the managers raise the rent annually.
Have you ever had the plumbing make a hole in the faucet' It will at the Marina Club Apartments. They have cheap fixtures that do not hold up to any use. The dishwasher breaks and the reply I get from the maintenance person is you do not need all of the dishwasher to work just use soap balls. The stove caught fire because of the wiring and the light and buzzer for the burners to be on wont stop making noise or showing the light. I asked for maintenance and it took a month for them to get around to it.
The place is noisy. If the residents upstairs walk it sounds like an elephant walking on the ceiling that is any time of day. A person downstairs plays his guitar and I can hear it in my apartment really well.
The management changes hands frequently so they do not know what is going on. I have lived there for 4 years and they are now asking me to fill out an application to rent the apartment that my husband has been renting for us. They are also asking my son to fill out an application to rent an apartment since he turned 19. He is still in school does not have a job no ID and they want ID and an application plus $40 to fill out the application. They want me to pay them $40 to fill out an application too.
Drug pushers (ones that sell crack) live in the building and the management does nothing about it. Always people sitting in their cars hunched down smoking something and looking up scared.
Parents sleeping in their van and the kids sleep in the apartment. Strange cars always apearing that are not owned by residents. Sometimes the cars are just left.
All in all these are unsafe apartments and I feel uneasy living here. The rent has gone up so high that I cannot afford to move anywhere else.
They allow pets at the Marina View Apartments but they require $300 deposit for each pet. The owners do not pick up the poop when their dogs poops on the ground. I have stepped in more than one pile here and brought it into my apartment or my car. Yuck!
I warn you DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT FROM HERE OR FROM THE BAYVIEW APARTMENTS. They have the same management. You will be sorry if you do.
