New owners took over in March 2008. Since then utility rates have skyrocketed with no logical reason why. Rents have increased dramatically forcing many residents to leave. Four different managers have been here, none of them able to answer questions and concerns of residents. The new owners schedule building improvements without communicating with the manager or the residents. Just this last weekend, many residents had property damage because they were not given notice that a crew would be coming to pressure wash their building. Many residents had property damage because of open windows, poorly sealed door jams, and items placed on the balcony. Then the next day, painters arrived to paint the exterior of the building with no notice of this event either! If you value your sanity and a pleasant, peaceful environment to live in, do NOT move here!

The notice we got on our door before the pressure washing was received on Sat. Set 13. The dates listed for the pressure washing to occur were Set 10 and 11!!!! (three days BEFORE the notice was given) so we had no idea when the pressure washing was really going to occur. It ended up happening on last Sunday, less than 24 hours from the time the incorrect notice was posted on our door. I'm glad you received a notice for your building that was convenient, but we did not and many of us had water damage. Anyone who was away for the weekend had no idea that the pressure washing was going to occur at all. We are moving. We found a 3 bedroom HOUSE with a garage and a huge backyard for less rent than they increased ours to. They are currently painting our building with less than 24 hours notice given. I have lived in these apartments for 2 1/2 years and these last few months have been just awful. I'm not saying that things couldn't improve around here after the new management settles in, but right now the decisions being made are effecting tenants in a very bad way.

I got a notice on my door 24 hours before they were to pressure wash my building. They haven't painted yet but soon will. Yes, we have had several different managers, but you have to remember that with the old group we had two different managers, plus there was a time with no manager, then at the very end the manager we did have, had another property in Renton and she didn't care about this place at all. On the utilities, yes they have gone up, but talking to home owners the utilities have gone up for them too. All I can tell you stoptheinsanity31, if you don't like it, you can always move. I love the place and plan on staying. No matter where you move the price will be high.

Good for you, glad you found a house, most people that complain always say they found a house cheaper than the apartment. I have looked, not many houses out there that is cheaper than my rent and utilities. The last few months have been a little different, but I know that it is better now than when the other owners had this complex. Your work orders are done right the first time, you don't have to keep calling back. Everyone is friendly, that is more than I can say for the other people. Paula was great, but Elizabeth, Mike and Kathy were terrible. None of them knew what to do. Elizabeth wouldn't make people follow rules, Kathy didn't want to spend money to fix any thing that was wrong in your apartmnet, and Mike he didn't know nothing. Now the new management team are there to really help you.
