Silverwood Park Apartments

Walk Through From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 6/6/2007 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006   I loved my apartment, until the rats move in w/ me!! My downstairs neighbor smoked so much in his apartment that my apartment above him would actually fill w/ smoke by the time I came home from work at night. His apartment was so filthy that rats started to frequent the area and I actually found on in my apartment. When I notified management they said they would try and clean up the area. Said nothing to the unit below me. Much of my furniture was damaged and stained from the nicotine and to this day almost a year later still stinks. Management turn over is VERY high. New management comes in and changed laundry room times w/ out notifying residents, all of my work clothes were locked in the laundry room. I got no response from maintenance and had to go knock on the managers door to get my clothes out only to be told that policy had changed, and was to go into effect that night. When asked if they were planning on notifying the residents, she said they were putting up signs the next day. When moving out I was assured by the manager I would receive full refund back of deposits and credit for days moved out early. It took over 4 months, several letters, visits and phone calls to Olympic management to get my refund. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at an apartment. I was harassed by management to move out so a homeless person could move into my unit, I did as asked. 10 minutes after the walk through I sat in the office as they called the person moving into my unit and told them it was ready for her to move in, they didn't even bother to shampoo carpets as they are required to do. I told Olympic this and the on-site manager lied to them saying that she did no such thing. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at an apartment.
