I was surprised by some of the other postings on this site, so I thought I'd write a more acurate portrayal...
I moved into Firdale Village Apartments in mid January of 2003. I found everything that I was looking for as a single woman looking for a safe, friendly community. Clinton and Linda in the office have been there to help me with everything I've needed.
I enjoy having a raquetball court, a swimming pool, a steam room, a hot tub, a free tanning bed, and a gym all available at my apartment complex. The two times I've requested the help of the maintenance team they've been there to fix the problem the next day.
Edmonds is a great place to live... just minutes from the water front and ferries. There's a Costco, grocery stores, and all sorts of other shops and restaurants less than 5 minutes away. Firdale Village Apartments is on the busline so it's easy for me to take a bus if my car is in the shop.
The grounds here at firdale are well kept and have been nicely landscaped with flowering trees and lots of grassy areas. Many of the apartments look out onto a beautiful courtyard. As far as safety is concerned... it's well lit at night and there is a night-time courtesy patrol as well.
I would send anyone of my friends or family to Firdale Village. It's a great place to live.
