Pacific Park Apartments was not very good when we lived there. We were told we could choose the pastel color of one wall and that there was a ceiling fan in the dining room. This was true.

We lived on the 3rd floor and liked the general layout of our apartment. There was a small indoor storage area, which was nice.

What I did not care for was that we had trouble with our water heater 3 times within a month or so after we moved in. Maintenance changed a couple of times during that period, and it was the 3rd maintenance person who came who finally gave us a working water heater, so that we did not have a problem again.

Some of the neighbors were difficult to live around. One apartment had a loud party at least one night a week. People ran up and down the stairs and broke the hand rail. Gross looking residue was painted onto the walls and carpeting of the stairwell one weekend. Another time someone painted our car with silly string or something.

We never felt safe there and did not feel comfortable inviting people to our home.

When we moved out, we scrubbed down the walls and everything else to make sure it was left in top condition. When we received the response from the management within 2 weeks, they said we left it dirty. We went to the office to find out what they meant by this. We told them we had spent extra time cleaning and had even had to pay for an extra day at the apartments to make sure everything really looked good. They finally did give us some of our deposit back. They told us we should not have bothered to clean it at all because most people don't, and that they rarely give anyone their deposit back. They said we should have asked them about this before we went to so much work.
