When I moved in, this was a very plain but clean, well-maintained, cheap place to live, within the Edmonds "Bowl" area, six blocks from the water.

It's no longer cheap. Your lease is by-the-month from the day you move in, and they have RAISED the rent three times in the last three years. Including just this month, when they added another $80 monthly -- right when OTHER apartment complexes are now LOWERING their rents. Don't be fooled by the ads -- they may quote a rent amount that neglects to include the additional monthly fee required for water & garbage.

That's not all: although they have been secretive about it, reliable reports are that they are on the verge of selling this place to new owners. That probably means tearing down this old converted motel and building condos. But we have been given no information at all about what to expect in that regard. We don't know when we will be told to move out, but with a month-to-month lease, the law only requires tenants be given 30 days notice to move out -- no matter what the reason. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ
