Where to Begin, My family and moved in Feb 08 on a 9 month lease When Glacier Management owned the property. The management at the time Glacier Told us a multitude of lies to get us to move in. One being that the 3rd Floor goes for the most amount of money We where paying 860$ for a 2x1 Apartment. And we received a 1000$ Visa card, We where told that our Deposit would be 300 700 Additional Deposit for our bad credit in which case we where told at the end of our lease term we would receive the 700$ back Regardless of the condition of the apartment Only the 300$ deposit would be taken at the most. And If there was any additional charges we would be billed At the End of our Lease that lie Became seen as we where told by the Now Holland Residentially owned property that it's the Descretion of the property to release this money. We paid 300 deposit 700 Additional Deposit first month rent to move in. The Tenants Below are 3rd floor aprt where loud the Base music was constantly blaring every other day. Many request the the management came and went we. After the 3rd time we talked the office over the course of a month we where finally told that the office "couldn't" do anything about the noise during business hours. The Dishwasher never worked right. The stove we where told was new took 25-30 mins to heat up(pointless) 1 Good thing was being on the 3rd floor we never had to turn the heaters on (baseboard). Request to Fix things where told would take 1-2 weeks. When they would come they would just look at and say that "it's not actually broken" so we can't really fix it or replace it until it dies completely. Full Size washer-driver in the unit. Dryer never dried. They wouldn't replace it. 90 mins to Dry 4 pairs of jeans 2 tshirts. Pointless energy drain. To save money we ended up having to buy a Dryer off craigslist which dryed 5 towels in 30-40 mins. Pathatic.
The bathroom sink had been linking for some time prior to us moving in the whole base of the sink was Rotted out with the stench of rotting wood. When asked to have it looked at took 1 week. And the guy came in left came back the next day with a piece of wood removed what was left and put the other peace in and spray painted it white while my son was in the next room. Only 1 Trash Dumpster for 200 units constantly overFlowed. They finally built a cage around it so nobody could see it. Parking is a Joke if you down have your Car in a spot by 5pm might as well park in the Church next to the complex. My Car was Towed From my parking spot 3 weeks after I was given a Carport parking. The complex said that giving me my spot was a mistake after threatening them with an attorney they finally called the tow truck company and i was able to get my car out for a "minimal cost" of 110$. I even had a green tag on my car. The Spot wasn't anybodys Lame! After that they "gave" me the spot and promised me it wouldn't get towed again. 4 days later i got a "tow" notice on my window. I ended up Parking in a Non marked spot in fear it would be towed again. In the End we Left the place Clean. We Where charged for "full carpet replacement" 800$ Amongst Various other items including 25$ per hour charge to spacul holes in the whole from pictures that where hung 10$ per closet door that needed to be rehung "4". Needless to say They took the whole 1100 dollars minus 62$ that I had to fight for 30 mins to get. That whole 62$ check took them almost 3 months to get to me and I moved to 99. In Closing Arterra is a Garbage Dump and I Refuse to live in Any HOLLAND RESIDENTIAL Commmunities.
