We lived at WR for a the term of our lease (11 months) and were regretting our choice after three. Our downstairs neighbors vehicle was broken into twice within our first three months. There were four other car prowlings within the same time period that can be verified through the Everett P.D. We lived in building 8 which is on the backside of the property by the greenbelt that separates WR with one of the highest crime rated properties in Snohomish County (also to be verified through Everett P.D.) This property has changed names numerous times but is affectionately referred to as "The Jungle" by law enforcement. Lots of foot traffic by less desirables and a known "dump" of stolen vehicles (also verified by P.D.).

The staff when we moved in was fantastic. After two months the manager moved on to another property and then the "D" team came onboard. We referred to them as Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest. Rude, lacadaisical, uncaring about maintenance, and even more uncaring about security. All this wrapped in a thick candy shell of denial.

The story is much the same about moving out. Mystery charges for cleanings, sweepings, and blind cleaning' Charges for carpet and paint that were unreal. There were two light stains on the carpets about the size of a saucer each, that totaled over 600.00 to be "fixed". We could have had a commercial cleaner come in and do it for less than 150.00 but were told not to bother by the staff. Live and learn!

We have since moved on to a property that is MUCH nicer and in a virtually crime free area. Want to spend a little bit more but not worry about the BS and the crime' Move to 98012.

Apparently criminals don't drive to our neighborhood. The only thing in your response that's correct is that we were stupid for not checking with PD about the area. A scummy area with scummy people. Oh, Avalon did provide security. They have/had a service contract with Horizon Security plus a foot patrol. That was one of the features that they touted as part of their "premier property". Are we stupid to think we're not more safe here? The only two things that make us feel stupid about this is that we didn't move to the Hawthorne first and that we believed that Avalon properties were "premier".

Maybe you should've done your homework before you moved there, and asked the P.D. what the crime stats were on that area. You cannot blame Avalon WildReed for car theft- they do not provide security and that's in your lease. There's crime everwhere you go- even 98012. Your stupid to think that your safer now. Do you think criminals don't drive??

Funny how the Staff has nothing better to do than reply to postings on here. Maybe that's why people keep moving out. I would have to agree that the staff is less than caring and only interested in the rent.
