Don't be fooled by nice amenities or smiling staff. Its all a visaed. I lived at Cascadia Pointe for a long long time. I moved in when it went by Pacific Bay Club. Just to give you a idea how long. First thing I encountered was lazy staff that came and went as they pleased. Regardless of office ours they are extremely hard to find, even when making arrangements to meet them by phone. I had met with a Leasing Agent ( I use that term loosely)to take a tour of the grounds and see the apartment layout with my wife (no kids). Then I gave them the application fee which at the time was $40.00. Highest I found at the time with all the apartments we looked at. The next weekend I rented a truck and had some buddies and family help us move in. When we got down there the manager was no were to be found and the assistant was in there place. Even though the manager said they would be there on the phone a day prier. When I asked the Assistant Manager were the Manager was they said camping. Also they had no idea I was moving in that day. Luckily the apartment that we were suppose to move into wasn't ready but they had one at the back of the complex that was more secluded. So right off the bat we had second thoughts but we were pretty much locked in at that point. Over the next few years we saw the staff come and go, even leasing companies and owners as well. There was even several months when people would use there drop box for payment with cash they would claim to have never received it. I had a neighbor that eventually was evicted cause they refused to pay a second time for the month. I couldn't believe the attitude of the leasing staff. While I was there I never had much problem with the maintenance crew except it did take forever to get stuff fixed. Anyway you cut it wither its not enough employee's, to many things to fix or lazy maintenance staff you shouldn't see stuff broken all the time. Also they claim to have certain amenities that they really don't have. I was there for a year before they fixed the basketball hoop, which also doubled as a racquetball court (which they claim as a amenity in there brochures). Really laugh out loud for that one. I'll wait a sec for you to catch your breath.... Really how can you call a half court basketball room a racquetball court. Also with another of the ratings here, the gate will never get fixed. The only reason we stayed as long as we did was the split bedroom layout. The parking is horrible as well. Believe for like 120 apartments they have 11 guest spots with no where but down the adjacent street by the school for extra public parking. Or having people park at Fred Meyer a mile away and shuttle them down yourself. There is additional parking you can get but you will pay dearly for it. Well my advice is to stay clear of most of the apartments in this area anyway. Hope this helps at least one person out.
