The new staff have violated my privacy time and time again. They enter the apts. without giving a 48-hr. notice and then allow contractors to enter ithout notice even when I cancel an apt. well in advance. The rent has increased $200 and the only improvement I see that $200 going towards is the inside of the cabana and offices with new computer equipment for the staff's use. Nothing has improved in my apt. like a malfunctioning flu for my fireplace, old and barely working appliances, ripped screens that were here when I moved in, etc. The new staff is totally incompetant and need to be replaced. At one time, the new leasing manager, "Kaci" offered us ceiling fans (which I never received) and new welcome mats in order to sucker us into signing another 1-yr. lease...then has the gall to write everyone after the fact and ask for money (donations) to pay for the welcome mats that she realized she was unauthorized to give out. Total unprofessionalism if you ask me. I will be moving out after over 5 yrs. of happy tennancy due to the incompetance of this new staff.

From the Deer Creek Management Staff: 1) All tenants are notified with a minimum of 48 hours notice for entering their homes, by law. All tenants received one weeks notice regarding the above inspection. 2) All work orders are completed within 48 hours. If something isn't done that's expected, IE, installing a ceiling fan, then it is the tenants responsibility to report that to the management staff, instead of writing reviews on websites. We cannot fix what we do not know about. 3) Rents increased because of the market condition. ALL rents have increased, at all properties; just as the market will fluctuate, so will the pricing of the apartment homes. It is unreasonable to expect the rents not to go up. The amount they go up is based on many things. Here, if the rent does have to go up $200, then what we do to help the residents is stagger the lease. So instead of the rent going up $200 all at once, it goes up $75, then four months later, it goes up an additional $75 and the remaining 4 months of the year, the final rental increase is given. That way, our tenants can budget their rent while still getting up to market rate. 4) Our residents are our top priority here. We do everything we can to keep everyone happy, but you obviously cannot keep all happy all of the time. We deeply regret the frustration that this tenant obviously feels. All it would take is a phone call. We have emergency pagers for maintenance emergencies, our staff lives on site so that they are able to respond quickly. Our email address is deercreek-leasing@verizon.net; that is also our MSN Instant Messenger and our myspace ID. Please don???t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. |
