Hard to move in to...

I lived here for a few months, and like many people, I really liked it at first. Management is definitely accommodating when you first move in; I was added on to a lease with some roommates and they were very nice and answered all my questions. I would have to agree that they are money hungry, however. You tell them parking's a problem, and they're very polite: They're more than happy to tell you how for an additional monthly fee, you can reserve your very own carport! Also, one of the leasing agents went out and bought us all nice tasteful welcome mats for our apartments. A couple weeks later, there was a note on our door: Apparently they didn't factor the price of the welcomes mats in to their budget, and would appreciate if everyone donated $15 to cover the cost. Also, thank god we were planning to move out anyway: when it was about time for us to either renew our lease or give our notice to move, they sent us a packet about how they were adding about $150 to our monthly rent, BUT, for FREE, they would make any ONE of a number of upgrades to our apartment: add an accent wall (as long as we painted it back before we moved), install brass facets, upgrade an appliance of our choice... I don't remember what all was on the list, but it was pretty lame. Anyways, back to the title... It was hard to move or stuff in. We had the split two-bedroom floor plan and I was in the smaller bedroom. The front door opens straight to a wall; you can go right or left down the hallway. However, if you went left, you had to come in and close the door before you could continue down the hallway: the door would be in the way. Our bedroom was to the left: It was like a messed up game of tetris trying to get furniture in to our room. Yes, the management is very good and smiling and seeing the bright side of your trauma; but they're more like politicians. They listen selectively and only respond to the parts of your argument that they can bring to light in their favor. The place may look nice now, but I don't think I'd live here again.
