I have lived here for sometime now. It is not as bad as some of these postings say it is. This place is not different than living in another apartment complex. As some people have stated in postings... Crime is everywhere, not just here. The homeless people are everywhere, not just here.
The apartments do not smell; management and staff do there best to keep this complex clean. Some residents are piggier than others, but again, you find that in every complex. Maintance is good. They fix things in a timely manner. If it can not be fixed in a timely manner then someone in office notifys you of the problem.(usualy, things do happen)
Office staff may not be the best at being proffessional, but I have seen worse.
As long as you follow the lease and rules, you are not harrassed or bothered by management. Parking is a problem tho.
You can drive through here during the day or night and see no problems usualy! But it is an apartment complex, so things do happen. There has been no major crimes committed on this property that I am aware of. Just the basic problems that apt. complexes get.
This is not to bad of a place to live. It is very convenient to freeway, schools, shopping centers and much more.
I have also noticed that some of these postings say "you must be part of the management team" when someone says something they don't agree with. NO I Am Not affiliated with the management team here at Fairhaven Downs. I am just a plain resident tired of reading postings that are not necessarly true!
If you do some checking around(your homework)you will see it is not that bad; you will see it actually descent!

BUT AS YOU SAY CRIME IS NOT IN OUR COMPLEX. AND VAL HAS NOT BEEN HERE THAT LONG SO I WOULD SAY THE PROBLEM IS THE OWNERS AS WE ALL KNOW THEY MAKE THE DECISIONS AND MANAGEMENT CARRIES THEM OUT. MAYBE YOU CAN TELL YOUR BOSS WHAT YOU WILL OR WILL NOT DO BUT I CAN'T I LIKE TO EAT AND SLEEP SAFE. HOW ABOUT YOU?

YOU SOUND LIKE STAFF TO ME...TRYING TO COOL THE WATERS...AND YA KNOW....WE ALL CAN SEE THROUGH YOUR EFFORTS TO BACK MANAGEMENT. IVE BEEN HERE LONG ENOUGH TO SEE MANAGERS COME AND GO....AND YOU ALL NEED TO LEARN TO FOLLOW THE RULES. SURE SEEM TO KNOW HOW TO SHOVE THEM DOWN THE THROATS OF THE ONES YOU TARGET AROUND HERE SPECIFICLY. AND THERE SEEMS TO ME TO BE A FEW SLIGHTLY BENT RULES FOR OTHERS. I bet the manager would release you from your lease. I sure the heck would. How embarrasing living somewhere for SEVEN years and be so miserable. I do know that where I live has a huge bearing on my personal life. If you are not happy where you live... GET OUT!

These people who have posted these things were probly part of the problem. Yes, at one point a few years ago there were the management from Hell. About a year ago new management and owners took over. Yes, there are pros and cons to living in an apt. The Current management has cleaned up the place. Maintance is great. I think that maybe some of these people who have posted negative things on here since new management took over probly were some of the people who were weeded out due to problems in past. Maybe part of them were evicted due to their own stupidity and need to blame someone else. I would recommend this place to people, don't be discourged by these people. Drive through the complex during the day and night to check it out. It is not that bad.
