Okay place to live, but you can do better

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003
The faucet in our bathtub actually fell off the first time my husband attempted to take a shower. The toilet wouldn't flush properly and was replaced with a toilet bowl that couldn't handle the force of the water, which now sprays water up into the air. Our sink started dripping like crazy and when maintenance attempted to fix it, they actually caused it to leak underneath the sink.
We were given a "parking violation" notice after we failed to move our car for a week during Thanksgiving! We have problems with mold on our windows. The vent to our rental dryer was NOT hooked up when we moved in and we didn't realize it until our laundry room was basically a giant fire hazard. While signing our lease paperwork, we had to return three times because they had problems figuring out what exactly we owed for the first month.
The soap dispenser to our dishwasher is now broken. WE HAVE ONLY LIVED HERE FOR FOUR MONTHS! Parking is difficult to find after 6:00 PM. Cabinets and countertops are easily scratched. Staff is highly incompetent. Look elsewhere for somewhere to live. You can do MUCH better.
Updated: We had to move out because we could hear our neighbors much too well and had problems sleeping. We could hear our upstairs neighbor's squeaky bed and then some tenants moved into the building next door and started having nightly parties. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
They also wanted to raise our rent from $655 to $899 after the first month. Apparently this is a tactic they use quite often after your first month there. I guess they figure that you'll be to lazy to move out and find a better place to live. For $900 a month, I was able to rent a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, brand new *house* in Marysville!
When our deposit was refunded, we got a whole five dollars back. I left that apartment clean (including having the carpet cleaned by a professional company), but apparently if you do not replace the drip pans on the stovetop, they will charge you for a full cleaning. I also seem to recall that your pet deposit is nonrefundable (another way they try to suck you dry of every penny they can get).
One good thing though, when I first moved in, the apartment was completely clean.
