It is a decent price for renting!

I moved to Seattle for a job in Boeing Everett, before moving in Huntington Park, I did extensive amount of internet research and apartment visitings.
Here is a couple things on my list when I was searching for my apartment:
1. Cheap. I am just renting, not like I am going to live in an apartment forever plus I am single.
2. Private garage. This is the only way to prevent your car from break-ins anywhere in Seattle.
3. Good internet review and good impression on the management team.
I came across more than 20 apartment complexes around Everett, Bothell, Lynnwood and Mukilteo. There are many newly built (less than 2 years) as well as really old ones but for my case, saving a hundred or two on a older apartment complex that serves that same purpose sounds more reasonable. Believe me, I would love to live in a new apartment complex but it is just not worth the money. Anyways, at the end, I did a 6 month lease with Huntington Park. The price was the cheapest and it comes with a private garage, just the type I wanted.
My experience here is good so far and I plan on living here until I save enough for my own property. Personally, I don't mind too much about the noise. Yes, you can hear kids playing outside but it usually ends when it gets dark, so it won't affect the sleep. People mentioned about the dumpsters getting piled up and stinks in the summer, yet I haven't experienced that with my room window facing towards a dumpster. The outlook of the apartments look old but they are doing paint repairs to all the buildings right now, hopefully it would look better. And in my opinion, I don't really care since I spend most of my time inside than outside of my apartment. Speaking of the rent, it is really cheap for what you get comparing to all the apartments around. I have went to so many other ones (more than 20), and this is the cheapest one with a free garage, no one can really top that. The management team is pretty nice and quite helpful. The manager (old lady with short gray hair) is nice and give me the same rate when I went to change my 6 month lease to a 1 year lease after living here for two months, at that time, the rate already went up too.
One time, the boiler in my apartment was leaking water slowly, having all my storage boxes wet so I called the rental office and got connected to page the maintainance guys only if it was an emergency. Since flooding was one of the emergencies mentioned on the phone record, I left a message and a maintainance guy showed up 10 minutes later (which I thought was pretty fast). He saw the mess and was pissed about why it was leaking and solved the situation immediately with a very helpful attitude. I wasn't too happy with it but accidents do happen once in a while.
I have lived in many apartments starting from my college years, and this is the one that I recommend for someone that just want a safe and cheap place to live. If you want a luxurious living condition, you should buy a house and shouldn't even consider renting because I haven't seen an apartment complex with a prefect rating.
