Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
We rented from Aug 2003 - Aug 2004. Then purchased a new Townhome in Seattle. We gave the approriate notice and Scheduled a walk through of our Apt.
The walk though - NO ONE showed up we then arranged to re-schedule however were told no one was available at the time to committ to our request.
At move out (Bekins) professional movers who laid protection on the floors and walls leaving no damage from movers We moved leaving the apt in the condition it was when we had moved in 12 months prior.
Kitchen, baths, carpet all had been cleaned. However we were charged fees for all of this because apparently you must provide receipts meaning you must hire a professional cleaner to back up your claim.
We had no pets, no kids, no shoes. Upon move out we were charged our full deposit $350 $550 for so called manintnance and damage (none of which could be supported) however the burden falls upon the tenant to deflate these claims.
As we were contesting this charge it was first sent to collections then garnishment of our wages in the amount of $5,700.00...
Take pictures of everything at move out, this management company has instructed employees to get as much move out costs as possible.
Even better I do not reccomend moving into this establishment, check your lease carefully as $200 of your deposit up front will be kept for what is called Administration fees. Something that is not worded in the lease nor communicated at time of lease generation.
