The units are way overpriced and offer nothing in excess - that other rental complexes have. The leasing agents are gifted liars-especially an older one by the name of Karen. Karen has the ability to remember nothing and has a sickening smile and attitude that would make a used car salemen proud. She says one thing, such as a certain apartment unit comes with a garage not a carport but once you sign the lease you're stuck with a carport and she denies ever saying anything. When asking how quiet the units are the agents claim they are good, but that's a lie. You can hear all the foot traffic above you. You can even hear bathroom noises from other units. If your neighbors like their t.v.'s or stereo's loud you also get to enjoy their selection of music whether you want or not. The point is these overpriced units are poorly built and offer no privacy from neighborly noises. It does no good to complain to the managers in their office-they say they'll look into it and that is as far as it goes, nothing gets done about loud neighbors. I have checked aroung the complex and talked to some of the tenants and have found that most people here feel the place is not worth the price and poor management. Also, if you are unfortunate to get into a unit near the road you won't get a good night sleep. The noise on Admiralty Way is bad and that is probably why there seems to be several apts in C and B building vacant (these buildings border the street). The apt complex also charges for water and sewer, which they fail to mention. They tell you all utilities are included besides the normal (tv, phone, electricity), In closing all I can say there are more better places to stay than this place. Portsmith is overpriced, poorly built, has poor noise factor, untruthful leasing agents that will say anything to get you to sign a lease but deny or pretend not to know of any problems here. This is my personal thought on this complex and all I can say is you'll be sorry you ever signed a lease here.
