When we originally moved in, the place was actually decent. Margo was superb and one of the best representatives that Shiloh Village has ever had.
Then they decided to hire Mr. Car Tower, the first replacement manager. He began to tow cars for nearly any reason whatsoever. They got rid of him and, for a time, they had no manager, but it didn't matter because Margo was great.
Then they hired someone else to manage. Margo left soon thereafter and that's when the real trouble started. They went through many folks over the next 6 or so months, and then Mr. Benjamin Crane began to manage the property.
They then stopped providing a way of paying the water bill in the rental office. The laundry room was a real trip. Without warning, they doubled the price (from $1 to $2 per load) of the dryers. After complaining, they reduced the price back to the original price...but also reduced the maximum heat the dryers provide so it still costs $2 per load and now takes double the time to dry.
Lights began to fail all over the property and they never replaced them, creating a potential safety and security hazard for cars.
During a big snow/ice storm recently, they never cleared the walks or steps. After complaining, they shoveled the snow...leaving the ice!
They raised the rent without providing notice; even though they said they did.
After becoming fairly irate, they sent a 20-Day Notice to Terminate Tenancy (illegal according to Washington State Code; they cannot do it for retaliatory purposes).
I'm glad I'm leaving.
