Very bad place to live!

Note: As of perhaps April 1, 2003, the name has been changed to Trailside Village. (The Interurban Trail is along side part of the complex.)

The Trailside Village Apartments consists of 250 units---most of which are HUD subsidized. The apartment complex has a long history of poor maintenance and management problems. It is also known as "The Jungle." There have been some shootings there---all drug related, I believe.

Although, it was renovated approximately 1 1/2 years ago, making it look nice visually, perhaps I could take the liberty to describe it as a wolf in sheep's clothing. Watch out! One of the continuing problems is drug trafficking I am told. There have been terrible problems with mold there as a result of poor maintenance, construction, and/or materials and I understand it still is a problem in some units. The mold and/or living environment surely had a negative impact on at least one person's health since after living there some years they became eligible for Social Security Disability.

I lived there before it was renovated, so it looks better now. The grounds drainage is not much better after renovation, I understand. While I lived there, it was very evident, most of the time, that neither management nor HUD really cared much about the tenants or the serious problems there. I understand that things have not really changed. If they try to evict you on false charges, the listing stays on court records, even though dismissed. This can cause a BIG problem when trying to move to a better place!

I strongly suggest, as a result of continuing problems there, that people do not move there or at the most do not stay there any longer than possible. See the reviews for the Brierwood Apartments which are located nearby. Two of the reviews at this time mention the Everett Country Club Apartments and one refers to it indirectly.
