I have worked in property management for years and have never had such a rude and uncooperative response to a simple request for market information. It is basically understood in our industry that we re helpful to each other and it comes around we all need this information from each other here and there.
I am also, intermittently, a secret shopper for property management companies. I feel like your company needs to know that the impression I got from speaking with Christy totally turned me off to your company as it will anyone she speaks to in that manner. In our industry, especially in this economy, customer service is critical. Her telephone demeanor should be addressed and corrected and she should be shopped to ensure that she doesn t behave that way in the future. She knows I was calling for market info, but I could have friends and family who need a place soon. I have college-aged family moving here to attend UT and you can totally bet, no matter what special you re running, I will not suggest any of your properties to them based on the reception I received from Christy.
