Windstone Apartments formerly Highlander

This place was a joke. My husband moved in August and I moved in after we married in Sept. The problems were immediate and never resolved. First our washer broke, the maintenance man came in, took it apart and left it that way for THREE WEEKS before he came back unannounced to put it back together again. Second, they complained about me not being on the lease after we married but when I went to be put on the lease they changed their mind and never added me to the lease. The staff was rude and NEVER around. They seemed to take off early every day. Construction started in October and they were out at 7a working on the roof. Finally, a man came into our apartment who had lived there previously. They never changed the locks before we moved in!! He, thankfully, was a nice man and gave us back the key he had but it was completely terrifiying to wake up to find a stranger in the apartment! We asked them to change the locks and they told us we would have to wait a couple of days or we could do it ourselves. Waiting was not an option and after we put on new locks they refused to pay for them! It was a cheap, horrible, place to live and I would never recommend it. We broke our lease in December after the lock incident.
