The 23.3% rating should be enough to convince you all. There are many other apartments for you to choose from where you will feel you are wanted. My opinions are based upon living in this community for over 10 years. When my wife and I moved in, it was great. Nighttime security, decent play areas for children, manicured lawns, not much noise (considering the size), frequent activities for families, open & frequent communication with management. This place has turned into a horribly ran, rundown piece of property that I can't in good conscience recommend to anyone. It all started when they began allowing section 8 residents to move in around 3 years ago. Not that that's a huge problem, however, the management didn't have the professional courtesy of telling any of the current tenants. With it came open drug dealing, loud speeding cars, stereos, and residents, almost daily fights,(up all night, these people didn't have jobs), and police visits. (I would contact the Federal Way Police Department first during your research prior to moving in or even filling out an application). Dont get fooled by the pretty landscaping at the front of the complex. Trust me this place sucks along with the chain smoking staff. Trust me, they do not care about you or your family, just your monthly rent. Just pay us and go away. Take your problems elswhere. As far as bigotry is concerned,(previous review) we personally knew and still stay in contact with past employees that have worked here in the past. Hispanic, Black and White. The consensus is the same. BJ(ass't mgr) & Barbara Pearsall (resident Manager & the worst I've seen to date) are complete and utter racist, as communicated to me by past employees. (By the way I have gone through @ least 8 management teams over the years). If thats your thing then you will find a great home here. If you are decent human beings, then, my wife and I urge all future applicants to stay clear and choose another place. If you are asking why we stayed here for so long. The answer is simple: It fit our budget and I just completed my post graduate studies @ the U OF W also, it ultimately a means to an end. We are in a position to buy a home now and that is what we'll be doing. Additionally, when we moved in as I've mentioned, it was a great place and when it began to go down the tubes, we were promised that things would get better. Well, they haven't and I don't expect it will anytime soon. I will finish with, You don't always get what you pay for. This complex is not what it wants people to believe it is.
