Don't trust the internet rates and specials you may see from the Fox Run (and ultimately "Equity Residential," the property owner and management company). When we moved in, the rate was considerably higher than that quoted on the web. Their reasoning was that "The web prices are 'starting' prices for our less desireable units."

This makes no sense to us who have the only 3 bedroom unit with no fireplace, and a much smaller deck than any of the other three bedroom units.

Additionally, every time the lease term expires, they want to raise the rent 3 or 4 percent. It makes no difference if it is a six month lease or one year lease. They operate like this is a luxury apartment complex, but it definately is not.

Construction and maintenance are only fair, and service has been decreasing over the time we have been here. It is now very difficult to get any positive response to problems from the managment office, and often tenants are told, "we don't do that." We also get notices from time to time about services that are being discontinued, such as the recent notice that you should not come to the office for assistance if you accidentally lock yourself out. They will not help you.

As other reviewers have noted, there is a problem with security on site. I have seen a number of cars vandalized, heard reports from neighbors about cars broken into or stolen, and numerous reports of theft from the patio or balcony. When we first moved in there were security patrols through the parking lot many times throughout the night. Now we never see a patrol go through.

The complex used to be much more calm and quiet than it is now. There has been an increase in the number of tenants that show disrespect to the rest of us with loud noise, garbage being strewn about, unruly children, etc.

Overall, this seemed to be a nice, quiet, and affordable place to live. Now it has lit the fire under us to buy a house and move on.
