The staff at the Lodge have been great; they're always helpful, always nice, very friendly. The apartments are actually comfortable as well. Of course you'll hear footsteps, etc. from upstairs neighbors, but what do you expect living in an apartment' I've never heard anything from next-door or down-stairs neighbors. In fact, out of the three separate complexes I've lived at in Federal Way, The Lodge is the first place I've lived where I CAN'T hear my down-stairs neighbor's conversations. Parking IS a problem, but if you purchase a covered spot, you'll suffer a lot less stress. People complain about having to purchase a spot, but oh well; you live in an apartment complex. Most of them have parking issues, this isn't something new. Either pony up the dough, or quit complaining.

The facilities have been great and always working and well-maintained since I've been here. The gym is a wonderful perk; it's the best equipped out of all of the complexes I've lived in. The pool is great in the summer, not too crowded during the day, only in the late afternoons. The grounds are well-maintained and nothing looks "shoddy" or worn down.

My biggest complaint is the type of people living in the complex. Some would say "ghetto" I suppose. And yes, I (and many others I'm sure) know that at least two of the busiest drug dealers in the area operate out of the complex. I've never felt unsafe; I've never had anything stolen, broken into, etc. The worst thing that's happened that I know of is some drunk crashed through the front gate on New Year's Eve. However, it does make me VERY uneasy that the drug dealing is quite well known and nothing has been done about it. If that got rid of the suspect individuals, I think The Lodge would be the best complex to live in Federal Way.

Thank you for your review of The Lodge. We appreciate hearing from our residents. As for drug related activity, please call the police immediately if you see anything you find suspicious. The police will notify management here at The Lodge of any illegal activity which we can then take action on. Thanks!
