A Very Nice Place...

Reading some of these reviews really amazes me. I have lived here for nearly a year and have had no problems at all. This apartment is well insulated and all fixtures and appliances are in working order. There is no sign of mold or sign that there ever has been mold. Dining room light fixture stopped working and was replaced within one week with one of better quality with a fan. The buildings are old (1960?s) but as a result are far better built than anything new, with larger windows and more floor space for the money. I exercise on my deck at night, and it is very very quiet. With the exception of the young party animal across the way, who is bound to burn himself out and go home to daddy soon, all units around me are occupied by families and working people. The washer and dryer are apt. size, so common sense dictates small loads. The lint catcher is in the back of the dryer (kind of hard to reach unless you?re tall) and must be emptied often or it does take hours to dry a load. If this is done, they dry quickly. Each unit has it?s own water heater, so water pressure isn?t an issue. My only complaint... a fairly serious one for me... is that the dryers vent into the front foyer/stairwell. This was designed in the years before people were convinced by advertising to spend their money on hazardous waste and toxic substances that destroy the olafactory nerves and areas of the brain... otherwise known as dryer sheets. I have to often go in and out holding my breath and with my face wrapped in a kerchief, because of my neighbor?s ignorance in their product choices. Otherwise, this has been a lovely place to live. Trees and greenery. Pets allowed (with deposit). Walking distance to Winco, the Regional Library and the Panther Lake water control/nature reserve. Also the Hylebos Creek salmon restoration project. Lots of trees and natural, reserved green space nearby and a playground across the street. The staff has been very friendly and responsive, but I haven?t had to test them with any serious problems

My experience here has been very good.
